City Of Chester issued the following announcement on Dec. 01.
NOTICE: As the holiday season approaches, please be advised that wrapping paper of any kind is NOT accepted at the Chester recycling center. For cardboard recycling please remove Styrofoam, plastics, instructions, and other materials before placing in recycling trailers. Paper/cardboard egg cartons and similar type materials are not accepted. NO remodeling/construction items are accepted.
If bins are full please do not put recycling on the ground. Recycling is open at this time but is subject to close at any time by Menard. Any questions please call 618-826-5114. Thank you for your cooperation.
