City Of Waterloo issued the following announcement on Dec. 15.
Here are some tips for our brand new
Santa Tracker!
1. The direct link to access the Santa Tracker: https://skyview.hornershifrin.com/waterlooilsantatracker/
2. It should work on any device with a web browser, but it is recommended to use Google Chrome. Some older devices with outdated capabilities may have problems loading the map.
3. Turn your device settings so that your screen does not go to sleep.
4. Once you click the URL and click "Track Santa Here", you do not need to do anything, your screen will automatically follow Santa!
5. We do not provide technical support for your devices. Feel free to test your device out ahead of time by clicking the link. A map will be displayed with a snowflake - this is the starting location of the Santa Float - and the route for the current day highlighted in the route color.
Below is an example of what it will look like! The white snowflakes are where Santa has already been along the orange route, and the highlighted snowflake is where Santa currently is located. Again, please be patient with this new technology...it's our first year with it and we are learning with you! We hope you like it!!
