Braun Colonial Funeral Home & Monuments recently issued the following announcement.
Donald E. Brown Jr. 73 of Waterloo, IL., born April 10, 1947 in East St. Louis, IL., passed away on Tuesday February 23, 2021 at his residence.
Donald retired from Solutia Chemical Co. in Sauget, IL., a member of Chemical Workers Union, also employed by Westinghouse Electric Transformer Factory in St. Louis, MO., Draftsman at Hussmann Refrigeration Co. He was an avid pool player on many leagues and loved boating, fishing and hunting.
Preceded in death by his father Donald E. Brown Sr., sister Cathy Leigh Goforth and maternal grandmother Madeline Behrman.
Surviving are his loving wife of 10 years Barbara Brown nee Hick, his mother Phyllis Brown nee Behrman of Valmeyer, IL, children Scott (Sarah) Brown of Troy, MO., Dianna (Trevor) Cruden of Rockford, IL, Jennifer (Kevin) Reeves of Powell, TN., Michelle Keim of Waterloo, IL, 1 brother Keith A. Brown of Paducah, KY. 1 sister Pamela (David) Roberts of Denver, NC, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Donald was a dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be on Saturday February 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Braun Family Funeral Home 265 Quarry Rd. Columbia, IL. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Msgr. Carl Scherrer officiating. Burial will be in Palmier Cemetery in Columbia, IL.
