PUBLIC HEARING
ROLL CALL
Mayor Robert L. Spencer called the public hearing for the annual budget of the Pinckneyville City Council to order at 5:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers, City Hall. Members present: Commissioners Ricky J. Cicardi, Kevin B. Hicks, Sammy D. Peradotta, William B. Stotlar, and Mayor Robert L. Spencer. Mayor Spencer declared a quorum present. Administrative staff present: City Clerk Melissa S. Kellerman, City Attorney Don Bigham, and Fire Chief Jim Gielow.
PUBLIC HEARING
City Attorney Don Bigham stated this public hearing allows for public comment on the annual budget for the City of Pinckneyville for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 which has been placed on file, posted and published at the last regular council meeting. If no public comment, the Ordinance will be adopted during tonight’s regular meeting.
Steve Williamson asked how much the budget was for the next fiscal year. City Attorney Don Bigham stated $9,512,655. He stated the budget figures are set high so not to overspend. Mayor Spencer stated the budget is a working tool and can be revised at any time. City Attorney Don Bigham recommended the budget and stated once approved, the budget will be filed with the Perry County Clerk by April 30, 2022.
CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING
Motion made by Commissioner Hicks, seconded by Commissioner Stotlar to close the public hearing. On roll call: Commissioners Cicardi, Hicks, Peradotta, Stotlar, and Mayor Spencer voted YEA. NAYS: None. Motion declared carried and the public hearing was adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
