City of Waterloo City Council met May 2.

Illinois EPA recognized the Waterloo Sewer Plant as one of the top three in the state in the operation of a clean and efficient sewer plant.

13. Discussion of Matters by Council Members Arising After Agenda Deadline. Alderman Hopkins mentioned that Thursday, May 5th, is the National Day of Prayer and there will be a National Day of Prayer service and breakfast at Hope Church at 8 a.m.
Alderman Heller commented that the Tourism Times has converted into a magazine type format and thereby saving over $3,000.00 in printing costs. Waterloo also received free advertising in the Illinois Farm Bureau Partners magazine on their recent visit to JV’s.
The Mayor reminded everyone that the First Responder Memorial Dedication will be held at Zimmer Park on May 07, 2022 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
