Sen. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) recently took to social media to promote the Columbia Days Parade.
The parade is part of a multi-day event known as Columbia Days held in the City of Columbia, as stated on the city’s website. In addition to the summer parade of floats, the event consists of amusement rides, food, games, music and other activities.
“Columbia Days Parade!” Bryant wrote in an Aug. 20 Facebook post. “Beautiful day for a parade.”
Bryant hasn't shied away from public appearances this summer. She recently attended an announcement of funding to renovate and make improvements to the Rend Lake Resort and Conference Center.
In June, she joined Rep. David Friess to tour the Baldwin Power Plant while discussing the high cost of energy and reliability of the grid.
Bryant ran unopposed in her efforts to serve the residents of District 58, during the June 2022 election, as reported by JournalStar. She is running unopposed in the Nov. 8 general election.
