Rep. David Friess (R-Red Bud) on Wednesday hosted a free prescription drug drop-off at the Waterloo City Hall.

"Yesterday was a full day. Started off with the prayer breakfast in Murphysboro to kick off the Apple Festival," Friess posted on Facebook. "Then to Waterloo for our prescription drug drop. Then back down in Murphysboro for the Apple Festival picnic. Big thank you to Terri Bryant for setting up for myself and all the Republicans."

In an August 13 Facebook post, he talked about his newly drawn district, including a stop at a barbecue restaurant.

“It is hard to complain about the boundaries of my new district since they drew 17th Street BBQ into my district,” Friess said in the post. “Miki and I were in Murphysboro yesterday and had to stop in for some pulled pork. I am looking forward to representing the new 115th District.”

Friess will be running unopposed in November's general election.

Friess was elected to represent the 116th District in 2021.
