Homemade holiday potpourri warms heart and home

When thinking about giving gifts to co-workers, friends, and party hosts this holiday season, it can be challenging to find the perfect gift and stay on a budget! One of my favorite gifts to give is Holiday potpourri because it is easy to make, looks beautiful in the jar, and smells lovely when you use it. It is a simple combination of a few favorite holiday scents. To get the PDF printable of the recipe card to attach to your jars, click here.

Holiday Potpourri Ingredients:

  • 1 /2 cup cranberries
  • 1 clementine
  • 4-5 cinnamon sticks
  • Mulling spice mix (could also use whole cloves or allspice)
Remove the clementine from your jar and slice it before adding it 2-3 cups of water in a pot. Add remaining contents of the jar to the water and bring to a simmer on stove uncovered. Continue to simmer on low to enjoy the holiday scent. Be sure to check the water periodically and add more as needed.

If you are looking for other ideas of homemade gifts, check out some of our earlier blog posts for Easy DIY holiday gifts. If you like mason jar gifts, there are other food mix in a jar recipes, as well as easy crafts you can make with your kids.

However you celebrate this holiday season, our wish for you is that you have time to connect with friends and family and that you have good health this holiday season and a happy new year.

Warm wishes!
