City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met April 17.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Ben Schwartzkopf, Jeremy DeMond, Mike Rheinecker, Curt Guebert, Kyle Donjon

Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Alan Piel, Rodney Nevois

Others Present: City Attorney Paul Ray, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin. Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Others Absent: Acting Mayor Susan Harbaugh

Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf called the meeting to order at 6:41 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting March 20, 2023 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the minutes from the March 20, 2023, meeting. Carried

II. Request from V8Resto

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Rheinecker, to approve the request from V8 Speed & Resto Shop to close Brand Street on May 13, 2023, from 9 A.M.-3:30P.M. to accommodate a classic car show and shop tour. Carried

III. Request from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church to Reserve Pavilions

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the request from St John the Baptist Catholic Church to reserve Ratz Park #1 & 3 on August 26, 2023, less fees. Carried

IV. Request from Sparta Animal Clinic for Use of Ratz Park #1, Less Fees – May 20th

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the request from Sparta Animal Clinic to reserve Ratz Park #1 on May 20, 2023, from 1:15-2:30 P.M., less fee, for a vaccination clinic. Carried

V. Farmer’s Market Ordinance Revisions Due to Use Table Changes

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the ordinance changes made to Title X, Chapter 105-2(B) and 105-3(B), regarding Farmer’s Markets. Carried

VI. Request from Knights of Columbus, Evansville, to Collect at Four-Way Stop on Friday, September 15, 2023

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve the request from the Evansville Knights of Columbus to collect at the four-way on September 15, 2023, from 3:00-6:30 P.M. Carried

VII. Fireman’s Parade Resolution for Street Closure

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve Resolution No. 23-001, “A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF THE STREET CLOSING FOR THE RED BUD FIRE DPARTMENT PARADE” for Sunday, June 25, 2023, 3:45 to 5:30 P.M. Carried
