1. Petitions by Citizens on Non-Agenda Items – None

2. Review & Approval of 12-19-23 Ordinance Committee Meeting Minutes – Minutes were not available.

3. Chapter 1 of the Code of Ordinances – The City Of Waterloo is working on amending Chapter 1 to include a Deputy Director of Public Works. We have had discussions in the past on which way we want the ordinance to read. Venerated City Attorney Tony Gilbreth has made some updates to review, during the discussion the conversation was around who would hire and possibly terminate this new position. After much discussion it was decided it would be at the pleasure of the Mayor. There were a couple of other minor changes to the language that will be updated and the new proposed copy will be sent to all of the alderpeople to review before we vote on approval at a future meeting.

4. Comments – There is an alley off Main Street that the Human Support Service would like the City of Waterloo to put no parking signs in front of the building that they own. The alley already has a sidewalk but they are concerned about people parking next to it. Questions were raised about exactly where the property line was on the alley. We are going to gather more information and speak about it at the next meeting.

Motion to adjourn made by Alderman Kyle Buettner, Seconded by Gary Most. All members in favor. Meeting adjourned at 6:17pm
