Rep. Friess and the Illinois Optometric Association (IOA) are teaming up to provide free protective glasses for the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8. The IOA has generously offered to supply the eclipse glasses, ensuring that individuals can safely view this celestial event.

In a statement, it was expressed, "Thanks to the Illinois Optometric Association for providing FREE protective glasses for the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8!" This collaboration aims to promote safe viewing practices and raise awareness about the significance of protecting one's eyes during a solar eclipse.

Residents interested in obtaining these protective glasses are encouraged to visit Rep. Friess’ district office located at 143 South Main Street in Red Bud. The office will be open for distribution during regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. As mentioned, there is a limit of four pairs of glasses per household to ensure that there are enough for everyone to benefit from this initiative.

Individuals with any inquiries regarding the distribution of the eclipse glasses are advised, "Any questions, call 618-282-7284." This contact information will help address any concerns or provide additional details to those seeking to participate in this opportunity.

As highlighted, "(Limit of four pairs of glasses per household so we have enough to go around.)" This limitation underscores the importance of fair distribution and consideration for all community members who wish to observe the solar eclipse safely.
