City of Red Bud Zoning Committee met March 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Alan Piel, Curt Guebert, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois

Committee Members Absent: Ben Schwartzkopf

Council Members Present: Mike Rheinecker

Council Members Absent: Bill Hanebutt, Kyle Donjon

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Piel called the meeting to order at 6:41 P.M.

Old Business

I. Red Bud Business Park Expansion Project

A. Lot Pricing

Nothing to report.

B. Funding

Nothing to report.

C. Project Scope

IDOT has approved the hydrology report. There is one more application and then the bonding needs to be put in place. Volkert feels like the ground could be broken this year.

II. Unsafe, Dangerous, Abandoned Buildings

Jeff Mueller had a scheduled meeting with Mr. Knight last week; he was sick and has not contacted Jeff back. Jeff will meet with him this week. It looks like Knight has it secured. He has also met with Ahrens.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting February 19, 2024

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the February 19, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None

The meeting was adjourned at 6:43 P.M.
