State Representative David Friess will be hosting an upcoming Rx Drop-Off event in partnership with the Red Bud Police Department on April 27th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Red Bud Police Department, located at 200 E. Market Street in Red Bud.

“As a community, it’s important that we take proactive steps to ensure the safe disposal of prescription drugs,” Rep. Friess said. “By hosting this Rx Drop-Off event with the Red Bud Police Department, we’re providing a convenient and responsible solution for our residents to dispose of medications they no longer need. Together, we can safeguard our community’s health.”

The event will provide a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of unused, unwanted, or expired prescription drugs. It is a free outdoor event that will allow participants to remain in their vehicles throughout the drop-off process. To ensure a smooth flow of traffic, drivers are asked to follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot.

Rep. Friess extends his gratitude to the Red Bud Police Department for their collaboration and dedication to community wellness. Together, they strive to promote responsible medication disposal practices.

Accepted Medications for the event include tablets, capsules, and other solid forms of prescription drugs, patches, vaping devices and cartridges (with lithium batteries removed), and pet medications. Restricted items for drop-off are liquids, syringes, and needles.

For more information about the Rx Drop-Off event, please contact Rep. Friess’ District Office at 618-282-7284. Rep. Friess proudly serves the people of the 115th District.
