I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – April 15, 2024
Recommendation made by Committee Member Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois to approve the minutes from the April 15, 2024, meeting. Carried
II. Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes for May 1, 2024
Meeting minutes included in the packet.
III. Proposal from Davey Tree Service -Tree/Stump Maintenance Items
Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Piel to authorize approval of the proposal from Davey Tree Expert Company for tree removal at Ratz Park, NTE $3,600. Carried
IV. Proposal from Secure One Self – Sports Complex Camera System
Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member DeMond to authorize approval of the proposal from Secure One Self for cameras at the sports complex, NTE $3,605. Carried
V. Bulk Approval of FY 2025 Budgeted Items 1-22
Recommendation made by Committee Member Piel, seconded by Committee Member DeMond to authorize approval of the Bulk FY’25 Budgeted Items 1-22 as submitted. Carried
VI. Proposal from Darrell Salger – Pool House Power Washing/Tuck-Point/Painting
Recommendation made by Committee Member Piel, seconded by Committee Member DeMond to authorize approval of the proposal from Darrell Salger Painting and Staining to power wash, tuck-point, and paint three sides of the pool, NTE $5,960. Carried
VII. Proposal from R.P. Lumber – Red Bud Athletic Association Bathroom Request
Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member DeMond to authorize approval of the proposal from R.P. Lumber for three toilets for the sports complex ladies’ restroom, NTE $722.45. Carried
VIII. Authorization to Appy for Rebuild Downtowns & Main Streets (RDMS) Grant
Jill Landgraf will be writing the grant for Ratz Park parking lot, road, creek work or something on Locust Street. This is a competitive 1-3 match grant.
Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Piel to authorize approval to apply for the Rebuild Downtowns & Main Streets Grant. Carried
IX. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Jeff Mueller said he did get an estimate from Nevois Construction for the change order to add the water softener to the splash pad and to enlarge the restroom footing by 24” for $17,518. That will be on the June council list of bills.
