City of Pinckneyville City Council met August 26.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council during Public Comment. To have a specific matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient information to allow the City Clerk to determine the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the Council with the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same or similar issues should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members.

COMMISSIONER HICKS

      1. Request from Pinckneyville Chamber of Commerce to discuss assistance with Mardi Gras advertising funds and street closures related to all Mardi Gras events. Please see attached.

      2. Request approval from Pinckneyville Community High School to hold a homecoming parade on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Please see attached.

      3. Request approval from Pinckneyville Knights of Columbus #2921 to collect on city streets on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for their annual Tootsie Roll Drive for Intellectual Disabilities. Please see attached.

      4. Request from Taps and Vine to use city parking lot adjacent to their property at 9 W. Jackson for “Touch A Truck” event on October 19, 2024. Please see attached.

      5. Request approval to promote Zack Kelly and Andrew Lipe as Lieutenants. Please see attached.

      1. Resolution No. R-2024-39, a resolution to be placed on file to accept a quote from CDS Technologies to replace a network server and to provide upgrades and management services for the computer and phone systems of the City of Pinckneyville, Illinois. Please see attached.

MAYOR SPENCER

      1. Resolution No. R-2024-36, a resolution placed on file at the August 12, 2024, regular council meeting, to accept a bid proposal from Empire Earth and Concrete Company, to remove and replace damaged sidewalk at 710 S. Main Street, Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois.

      2. Resolution No. R-2024-37, a resolution placed on file at the August 12, 2024, regular council meeting, to accept a bid proposal from Greenridge Landscaping Services to improve visibility at the intersection of North Main Street and Laurel Street in the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois.

      3. Resolution No. R-2024-38, a resolution placed on file at the August 12, 2024, regular council meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the Laborers’ International Union of North America, the Downstate Laborers’ District Council, and Laborer’s Local 773.

      4. Ordinance No. O-2024-09, an ordinance placed on file at the August 12, 2024, regular council meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into a first amendment to amended and restated option and lease agreement (south) with Kiwi Solar 2, LLC.

      5. Pinckneyville Garden Club requests approval of Blue & Gold Star Monuments. Please see attached.
