I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – September 16, 2024 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the September 16, 2024, meetings. Carried
II. Departmental Activity Report
The monthly department activity report was included in the packets.
III. Approval to Purchase Dodge Durango Pursuit Vehicle from Ed Morse
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to authorize approval of the purchase of a 2025 Dodge Durango Pursuit Vehicle from Ed Morse Chrysler for $43,081. Carried
IV. Taser – Grant & Quotes
Chief Brittingham said he was awarded a grant to purchase tasers and training. The grant was originally 100 % funded. Brittingham submitted four bids from Axon Enterprise, for consideration. The life expectancy of a taser is five years. The grant of $15, 859 would cover the January 2025 payment, with additional payments of $5,079.10/year, due January 2026-2029 on the seven taser $36,002.40 bid.
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to authorize approval to accept the grant and authorize the purchase of seven tasers, totaling $36,002.40 and follow the payment structure as presented. Carried
V. Authorization to Hire Crossing Guard
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to authorize approval to hire Scott Kiefer as school crossing guard at the current rate of pay, pending physical and drug testing. Carried
