Farm Credit Illinois is offering thirty scholarships, each worth $2,500, to high school seniors planning to study agriculture-related curricula or trades at a college or vocational school next fall. The scholarships aim to support students who intend to pursue careers on farms or within the agricultural industry.

Among the thirty scholarships, two will be awarded as “Diversity in Agriculture Scholars” specifically for applicants of color. The selection process will consider factors such as participation and leadership in school and community organizations, a demonstrated passion for farming or agriculture, and a commitment to an agriculture-related career path.

Eligible applicants must either reside in or have family farming operations in one of the 60 counties across central and southern Illinois served by Farm Credit Illinois. Scholarship recipients will receive $1,250 for the Fall 2025 semester, with the remaining $1,250 available for those continuing their agricultural studies into the Fall 2027 semester.

Interested individuals can learn more about this opportunity and apply through Farm Credit Illinois's website.
