City of Red Bud Public Health and Safety Committee met Dec. 16.

Committee Members Present: Curt Guebert, Bill Hanebutt, Rodney Nevois, Kyle Donjon

Committee Members Absent: Mike Rheinecker

Council Members Present: Ben Schwartzkopf, Jeremy DeMond, Alan Piel Council Members Absent: None

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Officer Jill Landgraf

Others Absent: City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Hanebutt called the meeting to order at 6:36 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – November 18, 2024 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to approve the minutes from the November 18, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Departmental Activity Report

The monthly department activity report was included in the packets.

III. Training Request – J. Brittingham – 2025 Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Summit

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to authorize approval to send John Brittingham to training entitled “2025 Southern Illinois Criminal Justice Summit” in Effingham, IL on February 25-27, 2025, NTE $580. Carried

IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None
