City of Red Bud Finance Committee met May 19.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Patrick Mueller, Jeremy DeMond, Bill Hanebutt, Rodney Nevois, Alan Piel

Committee Members Absent: None

Council Members Present: Bryce Parsons, Curt Guebert

Council Members Absent: Kyle Donjon

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Mueller called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – April 21, 2025 Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve the minutes from the April 21, 2025, meeting. Carried

II. CD Information

A. Maturing CDs

There are no CDs due to mature.

III. Financial Dashboard

Chairman Mueller reviewed the financial summary. The budget is at 100% of the fiscal year, the revenue is at 127% of the budget, while expenses are at 41% of the budget. The cash in checking is $1,082,314.26.

IV. Finance Guidelines/Mulch Estimate

Recommendation made by Committee Member Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to approve adoption of the Finance Guidelines as presented. Carried

V. MRTD Go Local Program

Mark Beare from Monroe Randolph Transit District presented information of the Red Bud usage of MRTD for the past year. He presented Mayor Harbaugh with a Certificate of Appreciation for the City of Red Bud’s first year of participation. Dues of $1 per capita, based on the 2020 census. MRTD has been advertising and trying to get the word around of their services and usage.

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Mueller, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to approve extending the contract with MRTD Go Local Program for July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, at $1 per capita rate, based on the 2020 census. Carried
