Agenda Item 2: Re-Zoning 3 lots in Elsie Kolmer Subdivision.

Mr. Justin Schmidt, the contract buyer for this property, was present to speak on behalf of this request. Mr. Schmidt is requesting a zoning map amended change for Lots #14, 15, and 16 located in the Elsie Kolmer Subdivision from B3 (Central Business District) to R2 (Single Family Residential). The request has received favorable recommendations from both the Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals. In addition, there were no concerns from the adjacent neighbors. Chairman Most stated he had discussed the proposed change with Nathan Krebel and Roberta Rohwedder and the requested zoning appeared reasonable.

Motion made by Alderman Charron and seconded by Alderman Riley to approve the requested Re-Zoning of the 3 lots in the Elsie Kolmer Subdivision as requested.

Motion passed unanimously.

The re-zoning is on the May 19, 2025, City Council agenda for approval.

Agenda Item 3: Exterior Building Materials for WCUSD#5 – Jr. High Athletic Field Press Box Addition. Mr. Will Hulett, Building and Grounds WCUSD#5, was present to speak on behalf of this request. Chairman Most stated that he had discussed this project with Nathan and Roberta. The proposal involves installing a new 7’ x 12’ metal press box at the Junior High School Football Field. There is no principal building on the property to align with, but all structures are complementary to one another. This is a courtesy from the school district to the City, as the plans for this project are processed through the ROE, with all permits and inspections managed by the ROE. The work will be done by the school's building and grounds department.

Motion made by Alderman Vogt and seconded by Alderman Matt Buettner to approve exterior building materials for WCUSD#5 – Jr. High Athletic Field Press Box Addition. Motion passed 4/1 with Alderman Vogt, Matt Buettner, Vogt, and Riley voting “aye” and Alderman Charron abstaining.
