City of Red Bud Cultural Committee met June 16.

Council Members Present: Bill Hanebutt, Rodney Nevois, Alan Piel

Council Members Absent: None

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Parsons called the meeting to order at 6:43 P.M.

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting May 19, 2025 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member Mueller, to approve the minutes from the May 19, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Approval of Partial Street Closure for St. Peter’s UCC VBS Event on July 11, 2025, from 4:30-8:30 PM

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member Donjon, to authorize approval of the request from St. Peter’s UCC VBS to partially close Randolph Street running along the side of the church, using city barricades, on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 4:30-8:30 PM. Carried

III. Approval of David Friess Request to Use Red Bud Sports Complex for Electronic and Recycling Event on July 12, 2025, from 9AM-Noon Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval of the request from State Representative David Friess to sponsor an electronic, appliance and paper recycling event on July 12, 2025, 9:00 AM – Noon, at the Sports Complex. Carried

IV. Approval of Evansville Knights of Columbus to Collect at Four-Way Stop on September 12, 2025, from 3:00-6:30 PM

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member Mueller, to authorize approval of the request from the Evansville Knights of Columbus to collect at the four-way stop on September 12, 2025, from 3:00-6:30 PM for their annual Tootsie Roll Drive. Carried
