City of Red Bud Zoning Committee met July 21.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Absent: Pat Mueller

Council Members Present: Bryce Parsons, Bill Hanebutt Council Members Absent: Kyle Donjon

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Police Chief John Brittingham, Administrative Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Others Absent: Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller Committee Chairman Piel called the meeting to order at 6:51 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting June 16, 2025

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the June 16, 2025, meeting. Carried

II. Gelly Contract - Addendum

The original contract was for seven lots at the RBBP and the addendum is for the four additional lots that were added due to the grant funds.

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval of the Section 00510 Addendum for the Red Bud Business Park Project with Gelly Excavating and Construction. Carried

III. Enterprise Zone – Residential Considerations

Mayor Harbaugh said that the Economic Development Committee has this on their agenda for Wednesday, July 23rd, to go over the enclosed list of questions, as she needs to present our case for the requested changes to the Enterprise Zone to the Monroe-Randolph Enterprise Zone.

IV. State Historic Preservation Office Covenant for Red Bud Business Park This is a standard form required by the $900,000 grant which the city received.

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Piel, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to authorize approval of the “Illinois Department of Natural Resources Preservation Covenant Red Bud Business Park Archaeological Site 11R937” and affix the proper signatures. Carried

V. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City None
