I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting August 18, 2025
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the minutes from the August 18, 2025, meeting. Carried
II. Girl Scout Service Unit 57’s Request to Reserve Ratz Park Pavilion 1 & 2, Less Fees, for Overnight Camping on October 25 & 26, 2025
Recommendation made by Committee Member Mueller, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval of the request from the Girl Scout Service Unit 57 to reserve Ratz Park Pavilions 1 & 2, less fees, for overnight camping on October 25-26, 2025. Carried
III. St. John’s Catholic School’s Request to Sell Krispy Kreme Donuts at the Four-Way Stop on September 27, 2025, from 7:30-11:30 AM
Recommendation made by Committee Member Mueller, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval of the request from St. John’s Catholic School to sell Krispy Kreme Donuts at the four-way stop on September 27, 2025, from 7:30-11:30 AM. Carried
IV. Red Bud VFW Post 6632’s Request to Collect at the Four-Way Stop on May 22, 2026, from 3PM-7PM
Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Parsons, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval of the request from the Red Bud VFW Post 6632 to collect at the four-way stop on May 22, 2026, from 3-7 PM. Carried
V. America250 Beautification Request

VI. America250 Fireworks Celebration at Lincoln Park on April 25, 2026 Adm. Officer Landgraf has met with Americ250 subcommittees and reviewed a schedule of America250 proposed events/dates. The subcommittees are requesting $20,100 to support these events. The use of Motel/Hotel Tax tourism funds (current balance $53,000) was discussed. The deposit of $5,000 for the firework display to be scheduled on Saturday, April 25, 2026, will be included in the list of bills for October 6, 2025, council meeting. Jill will keep the council updated as plans progress.
Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval to commit up to $20,000 from the Motel/Hotel Tax tourism funds to help the America250 events, as needed. Carried
