City of Red Bud Public Works Committee met Sept. 15.

Committee Chairman Guebert called the meeting to order at 6:59 P.M.
Old Business
I. Power Plant
A. Plant Report
Eckart noted that the power plant is back to the normal scheduled generation runs.
II. Utilities/Streets
A. Electric
The RBBP installation is upcoming this fall.
B. Gas
The RBBP installation is upcoming this fall.
C. Water
There is aeration maintenance ongoing with the fan motor. Piping repair work is being done down at the river.
D. Sewer
No update
E. Streets
The resurfacing project has been completed. Eckart is still waiting on the culvert guard rail installation on Rock Hill and Lakeview and finishing up on Sheve Court.
III. Utility Rate Studies
A. Electric – Utility Financial Solutions, LLC

New Business
I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting August 18, 2025 Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Parsons to approve the minutes from the August 18, 2025, meeting. Carried
II. Training Request for Joe Ledlow – IRWA: Disaster Preparedness & Resources Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt to approve training entitled “IRWA Disaster Preparedness & Resources” for Joe Ledlow on October 8, 2025, in Mascoutah, IL. Transportation is required. Carried
III. Water/Sewer Technician Position – Recommendation to Fill Position Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Guebert, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt to approve moving Derek Allen to the Water/Sewer Technician position at the $30.98/hour rate of pay. Carried
IV. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City
Eckart has been working with Liz Cowell on some equipment proposals. The meeting was adjourned at 7:02 P.M.
