Median home prices in Sparta fell to $53,500 in the second half of 2020

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2020 in Sparta fell by $28,250 while total sales increased by 4.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2020, there were 25 homes sold, with a median sale price of $53,500 - a 34.6% decrease over the $81,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 24 homes sold in Sparta in the second half of 2019.

The median sales tax in Sparta for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,332, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2020.
