2020: Sparta experienced a 35.5% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in 2020 in Sparta fell by $27,500 while total sales decreased by 34%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2020, there were 33 homes sold, with a median sale price of $50,000 - a 35.5% decrease over the $77,500 median sale price for the previous year. There were 50 homes sold in Sparta in 2019.

The median sales tax in Sparta for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $1,332, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for 2020.
