In a recent Facebook post, Illinois state Rep. Paul Jacobs (R-Carbondale) announced that he has been endorsed the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois.
"Thank you to the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois for your endorsement," Jacobs said in the post. "I am proud to support our brave fire fighters!"
Jacobs was also recently endorsed by state Rep. Blaine Wilhour (R-Beecher City), a release from the South Central Reporter said. In a statement shared by Jacobs, Wilhour said Jacobs had "a proven conservative record."
"I am proud to have the support of my good friend and fellow Southern Illinois Republican State Representative Blaine Wilhour in my race for re-election," Jacobs said on Facebook, quoted by the Reporter. "Blaine is a strong advocate for the conservative agenda, and fights to protect life, and our Second Amendment Rights. Thank you Blaine!"
Jacobs received another key endorsement, from state Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis).
“I am proud to have the endorsement of my good friend, fellow State Representative, brilliant legal mind, and true public servant Windhorst,” Jacobs posted on Facebook, quoted by the South West Illinois News. “Windhorst has been leading the fight against reckless anti-police policies.”
Jacobs also shared a visit opportunity to Southern Illinois University (SIU) for high school students interested in automotive and aviation careers, a separate report from the News said. He touted SIU’s Aviation and Automotive High School Introduction Tour.
“We (SIU) are turning out the most sought after automotive students in the USA!” Jacobs said on Facebook, quoted by the News. “80% of our graduates have contracts in hand or are already hired by large automotive corporations. Aviation already is a leader in Pilot Instruction but cemented that distinction with a contract with United Airlines a few weeks ago to train and hire many of our aviation graduates. Please tour these wonderful education sites. Go Dawgs!”
