Sparta Community Hospital will hold two COVID-19 vaccination clinics in partnership with the Randolph County Health Department. The clinics are scheduled for October 27, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Auxiliary Room A, and October 28, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Auxiliary Room B at the hospital’s Broadway Plaza location at 203 S. Pine, Sparta, Illinois.

The Pfizer vaccine will be available to individuals aged 12 and older. The hospital encourages adults over age 65 and people with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, or weakened immune systems to get vaccinated. "Anyone who wants added protection against severe illness, hospitalization, or complications from COVID-19" is also urged to consider receiving the vaccine.

Those unsure about whether vaccination is appropriate for them are advised to consult their healthcare provider regarding individual risks and benefits.

According to Sparta Community Hospital, most insurance plans can be billed for the vaccine without out-of-pocket expenses for patients.

Appointments are encouraged but not required; walk-ins will be accepted during clinic hours. To schedule an appointment, individuals can call 618-443-1DOC (1362).
