In the March 15 Illinois Senate Republican primary for District 58, Paul Schimpf won big over rival Sharee Langenstein. Of a total of 14,856 votes cast, Schimpf claimed approximately 10,509 votes -- an impressive 70.74 percent of the votes, while Langenstein received 4,347 votes (29.26 percent).
